This morning CR and K had some good quality time together...something that they haven't had a chance to do as much of as they like lately with K traveling with the race team a lot on the weekends. So this morning, they set out to go to one of CR's favorite places...Home Depot. He loves to go there just to hang out and has since he could say Home Depot (which was one of his first words). Some of his favorite things to do there are "ride" the lawn mowers and look at the fish ponds when it is that season. This morning, he got a treat though. When they got there, K discovered that they had a "class" going on for kids (that is held the first Saturday of every month). I knew about this class at one point, but I had forgotten about it, I guess because CR was a little too young at the time. This morning they built a fire truck. CR was so excited to come home and show me what he made with Dada's help. K said he LOVED IT...doing much of the putting together. So besides K's thumb getting a whack every now and then as CR was learning to use the hammer, they had a great time together. Below is their creation that CR is so proud of!
CR's certificate of "making his fire truck". He is so proud! Hats off to Home Depot for supporting our kids in such a neat way. I am looking forward to him participating in many more.
