Fun Weekend Happenings

This weekend CR and I had the best time, despite K being out of town (thank goodness this was the last weekend for a while, as we miss him terribly when he is gone).

Friday night we decided to spend the night with my parents because my mom got Disney on Ice tickets for us for Saturday morning at 11. I knew we would need to leave early (9 AM) to get to the train, ride it to the arena, and then get in on time. It was so much fun! I love being a kid again through CR's eyes!
Anxiously waiting for "his" train to go with train ticket in hand! He was as excited about getting to ride "his" train as he was to go see Mickey.
CR and MeMa sit in CR's favorite seat on the train to watch it go down the track and hear the horn!
He is in awe as we go into the "rena" (arena) to see Mickey
The curtain before the show started
CR's favorite character (besides Mickey)
Enjoying his hot dog lunch during intermission

He is having a ball!
This was the first part of the show. Mickey and Minnie came out in a car, then it "broke down" shooting flames out the back as if it were backfiring. This freaked CR out....he is SO scared of fire/fireworks. It took me forever to get him calmed down again and able to watch the show. Not a good recommendation to begin the show with Minnie and Mickey!
M-I-C-K-E-Y And his girlfriend...they were so cute

McQueen's buddies! They did some cool moves on the ice. Too bad CR was still freaked out at this point about Mickey and Minnie's car to enjoy this part much!
Mema gets suckered into a toy stand as soon as we arrive. CR gets a dragon light.

We spent the rest of the day running to different other places and events (including CR's cousin's birthday...sorry we were so late).
Today, we decided to enjoy the beautiful weather and go on a picnic to a state park in our area. It was the perfect day! The weather was so nice to walk nature trails and enjoy the day outside.

What a nice weekend!
